Atiqur Rahman

Education-policy and project-management specialist working across MoE, ICAR, NBT and World Bank / ADB funded assignments.

Atiqur Rahman is the secretary of Institute for Research in Education and Social Transformation (IREST). He has provided strategic and policy support to the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India, the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), the National Book Trust (NBT), and several other national bodies. Rahman has worked extensively in education policy, project management, monitoring and evaluation, assessment, Ed-Tech and blended learning domain in India. He has worked national and international funded assignments like World Bank funded STARS Project, Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) ASPIRE Project and PM SHRI at MoE.

Rahman has prepared “Resilient Agricultural Education System (RAES) “report of ICAR, which is an extension of “National Agricultural Higher Education” Project. Under Samagra Shiksha, he has travelled extensively throughout the country to conduct studies on educational programmes implementation. In 2017, he obtained his MBA degree from Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi and Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management & Operation Management in 2020 from Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University. He draws on his interest in advancing human development to advocate for the transformative power of education. Rahman has extensive experience publishing Digital Education Report, Training Resource Materials, etc.
